Our right to strike is under attack. Rishi Sunak’s new anti-union legislation means that when workers democratically vote to strike, they could be forced to work and sacked if they don’t. That’s wrong, unworkable and almost certainly illegal. These new laws are a direct attack on working people’s fundamental right to strike to defend their pay, terms and conditions. Trade unions will fight this every step of the way. We’re inviting every worker – public and private sector, and everyone who wants to protect our liberties – to be a part of our campaign to defend the right to strike.
Join our West Midlands regional rally, and show your solidarity with those workers in dispute – and make it clear that we will fight to protect our right to strike. Speakers include:
- Ravi Sub UNISON
- Michelle McCrossen, GMB
- Amazon striking member, GMB
- Paul Kennedy, CWU
- Billy Holland, FBU
- Harjinder Kaur-Aujla, UCU
