“Stirchley and Cotteridge against the Cuts” held another very successful meeting on Monday evening.
It heard that the local day centre for the elderly in Cotteridge, which it has been campaigning to support, has been granted seven months more funding. We will be campaigning for this funding to be made permanent.
Our next activity will be a street stall this Saturday in Cotteridge, from 11am till 1pm, in defense of the NHS. We will also be organising a hustings near to the Council election date on the subject of local cuts, and a public meeting after that.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday 14th April, 7.30pm, at the Stirchley Community Centre, Pershore Rd.
