What a legacy this cuts mad Lib-Dem council will leave. They cut the neighbourhood offices, they closed the care homes and they cut the Libraries.
Services for all need to be defended. All the Library users in Birmingham need to be made aware of these creeping closures of Library access and urged to demonstrate their opposition.
Libraries = Education + public information + places of our shared history + access to internet for people in Povery in Birmingham + free access to books.
To be topical we used to call her ” maggie Thatcher Milk Snatcher” when she got rid of free milk for all school children. This Lib – Dem council and government want to take away our books: will they burn the books they don’t want to make available any more?
