On Wednesday 4th May, Connexions workers in Unison will take further strike action in their campaign against compulsory redundancies and cuts in services to young people.
Unison members will picket outside Broad Street, Northfield and Kings Heath from 1pm, followed by a rally and demonstration in Victoria Square from 2:15.
Previous strike actions have helped to stave off redundancies in Birmingham whilst around the country Connexions workers have been losing their jobs.
Connexions provides careers guidance and advice to 13-19 year olds, including offices in every school, and is a vital service. The cuts have been hitting teenagers hard, with the removal of EMA, funding cuts to FE colleges, university tuition fee rises and an ever rising youth unemployment rate meaning that the service that Connexions provides is even more important.
Please show your support and join Connexions outside their offices or at Victoria Square.
